Some Site Changes

In the next couple of weeks we are going to be changing the layout of this site a little.

Nothing too extreme, so don’t worry. Everything is going to stay roughly where it is now, but thanks to our glorious Kickstarter Backers I’m going to add a Thank You page with their details.

Each backer has the opportunity to have their name and a twitter length message added here to show our thanks for their support.

Kickstarter Survey Sent Out

Things are slowly moving forward here behind the scenes.

Our current Priorities are as follows:
The Krell Effect Adventure for Savage Worlds
Books 1 & 2 of the Fantasy PC Pack for Savage Worlds

It can be frustrating after you’ve backed a Kickstarter as you wait for the product to be delivered – but let me assure you, as someone who’s backed a few dozen I can now see why it takes so long!

We are also seeing some great progress with an as yet untitled fantasy adventure that I’ve been using to test run some of the characters for the Fantasy PC Pack.

We are at a point where we’re ready to send out our backer survey. This will help us to get some much needed information from everyone who helped bring our product to life, and it allows us to ask a few questions to help make sure we are making our product as fun and easy to use as possible.

Ongoing Products

Things have been a little quiet here, but that’s not because we’re resting on our laurels after our successful Kickstarter 🙂
Not at all!

We’ve been working like crazy to get everything out and ready ASAP.
Our priority is everything Kickstarter related, but we are also moving forward with a couple of smaller projects.

Our current Priorities are as follows:
The Krell Effect Adventure for Savage Worlds
Books 1 & 2 of the Fantasy PC Pack for Savage Worlds

We are also seeing some great progress with an as yet untitled fantasy adventure that I’ve been using to test run some of the characters for the Fantasy PC Pack.
We have a cool Fantasy story called Hammer of Fate thats our longest adventure to date, which is currently on hold until our Kickstarter projects are all released, but as soon as our schedule is a little more empty we will definitely be looking at finishing off the remaining portions of that adventure for release.

I’ve also been looking at converting our first ever adventure, Still Life and Death, to the FATE system, as I’m really enjoying running that system with my regular gaming group, and i feel with a little tweaking we can make a really great addition to our catalogue.

So, thats our work schedule for the near future!

Thank You

Just a quick message this time to offer up a (belated) THANK YOU to everyone who backed our Kickstarter.

This is especially true of those who helped spread the work.

Without all of you there would have been no chance to successfully complete our Kickstarter. Im genuinely grateful by the kindness and support so many people have offered throughout this experience.

Anyway, i better get bak to work on delivering all of these awesome rewards now 🙂

Hardboiled GMshoe Interview

[Q&A] Ben Baker (Melting Point Publishing)

Click on the above link to read the recent interview i had with Dan over at the Hardboiled GMshoe.

He runs a really great community site that i urge you to check out.

He also interviews various figures from the gaming industry every few days.

If you’re into roleplaying, GMing and/or writing games then you really need to be a part of this vibrant community.

Devils Run RPG by Red Scar

One of the great things about the Kickstarter is that it’s allowed me to meet other publishers in the Savage Worlds community.

A particularly enjoyable setting is Devil’s Run RPG by Red Scar.
Take a look at them – they’ve created a fun filled post-apocalyptic adventure-filled setting based on the popular board game of the same name.

40% and growing!

Our first Kickstarter is growing well, we are currently at 42% of our funding goal.

I recently spoke to Dan of Gumshoe GM fame, and I’ve another interview arranged for 2 days’ time – so watch out for some links to those in the coming days.

More than 25% of the way there!

Our first ever Kickstarter has been active for a few days now and we are already 27% of the way toward hitting our funding target!

Don’t forget to spread the word about us to help us unlock more stretch goals.

Kickstarter Now Live!

It’s been an exciting few weeks for us here at Melting Point Publishing.

The culmination of which is that our first ever Kickstarter just went live – check it out here.

It’s a great opportunity to pick up our already published adventure, Still Life and Death, at a HUGE discount.
But theres more – everyone who pledges at the New Adventures Bundle level will receive a copy of every book we unlock during the Kickstarter – for only £10!

That means it’s in the interest of every backer to help spread the word about our Kickstarter – after all, the more stretch goals we hit, the more books you receive for the same fantastic price.
